Poked and prodded

Today begins another round of procedures to find out what exactly my body is doing. Today we'll find out if my body is doing what it's "supposed" to be doing. The question that comes to mind, though, is what if this is what my body is supposed to be doing? What if this is the normal for me? Isn't that good enough?

  1. That's a very good an philosophical question to which there is hopefully an answer. Good luck with the procedures.

  2. That is a really good question. What are we supposed to work to change? What are we supposed to accept as is?

  3. Wishing you well. Figuring out what our own bodies are "supposed" to be doing, and how far we will go in pushing them to do what doesn't come so naturally, is tough. Remember though that our bodies do a lot right too.

    1. Thanks Mali :-) our bodies are truly amazing, we just have to remind ourselves of that at times

  4. Yes, I love this! When I accepted that my body was working for itself and working hard with me and not against me, I started finding peace. I actually had to process forgiveness to my body!

    1. That makes so much sense. Society teaches us that we aren't good enough and we take it out on or bodies, like it had some kind of say in the matter. I think I will definitely have to begin that process of forgiving my body and my socially conflicted brain!
